Architecture : my journey of possibilities

Vitra fondation

I stumbled into the world of architecture almost by chance, choosing it as my field of study not by design but as an intentional departure from the well-trodden paths of doctors and engineers within my family. This unconventional career path has proven to be the most significant and rewarding choice, unlocking a realm of possibilities that I hadn’t imagined.

For me, architecture is more than just buildings, architecture is about possibilities. It can serve utilitarian needs, create visually captivating spaces but more importantly, possess the power to go deeper than  and beyond  mere functionality, engaging users as they navigate through space and time, evoking senses, crafting and invoking memories, and providing experiences to be cherished. Architecture, as I see it, responds to cultural nuances, climate, and geography through a thoughtful blend of design and technology. It holds the potential to be inclusive in terms of functionality and sensitivity, while also maintaining exclusivity through unique design and  expression of art. Moreover, architecture has the incredible ability to unite communities and become the very identity of a place. Architecture engages the senses, invokes memories, and provides human experiences that linger long after we’ve left the physical space.

Over the course of three decades immersed in this realm, I’ve often pondered the tales and narratives that great buildings have to share. Each structure, with its distinctive history, unfolds its own story. This Architectural Perspective isn’t merely about the physical structure; it’s an exploration of the tales intricately etched into every building. Most significantly, it is an attempt to fathom the profound connection between design, culture, and the human experience.

Each project I encounter has played a pivotal role in shaping my understanding of design and my  interpretation of architecture through the lens of scale and proportion, user engagement, movement, considerations of both built and unbuilt environments, and the intricate interplay of materials and technology. Yet, above all, this perspective is about by my personal experiences visiting these architectural wonders.

Join me on this adventure, and I look forward to our shared exploration of the world through my lens.
